Food is surely very discussed. I can tell that from time to time how our own habits which we consider as totally regular, normal, usual for probably everybody can differ. Sometimes I deem it is quite even shocking which differences you can think of. For example, you know, I have never been thinking about that actually much – so eating habits. I was used to eating what my mum prepared, then I visited a canteen – a school canteen, a canteen at university and I had .. never had any problems when I studied my university. Of course, that you know, you don't have much time to eat you just grab some sandwich or a toast which is not definitely anything healthy. And especially in those times the most of young people don't think about it really much. If they are not used to it from their home, yeah. So the biggest change for me surely was the time when I should start preparing the meals for my son. Because with babies everything different is suddenly. You suddenly should think of each nutrient, each portion, about amount of vegetable, of fruit, of pastry, sugar anything like that and it starts to be quite complicated actually.

But the biggest shock for me was when I started to compare my opinion with others .. with other mothers because suddenly you can see that, of course, each mum wants her children to be healthy. The healthiest they can be, of course. That's natural. And probably therefore we can differ in our opinions. For example, maybe a good example I believe can be a situation with chips. Because really, practically every mother tells you that chips are unhealthy, of course, they are completely, and that they would probably never give it to their children. I was thinking about it a lot and I decided not to ban anything to my son. I, of course, don't mean alcohol and coffee and things like that – that's only for adults. But, for example, chips or fries – and so from time to time because we don't eat it every week … so we give him. Or he can … we give him … he can take what he wants. And the difference suddenly you can among children when there is a party and there are a lot of children. Some of them really grab all full fists, yeah, of chips and they eat and eat and eat and mothers automatically put a bowl away but my son – he comes and takes one. And usually even turns and asks me with his eyes only – if he can – so I tell him – yeah, if you want no problem - and he takes only one or maxim two chips. And it can lay there (a bowl) all the week and he will never také more than one or two.

So actually that is my conclusion – the more we actually ban children the more they want it, of course. So I am against banning things like I think it is better to allow them to eat what they want – why shouldn't they eat it when we eat it and to show them that we don't eat it every day and it is only for some special occassions. But of course, don't give them full hands of sweets, ice cream and things like that.

Well .. I can see that the theme as food is really big so we are going to continue in some of our next days. Have a nice day :)
